WIP - Untitled Vampire story - 2590 Word count

Agustin hurried along the cracked, dirty sidewalk, his eyes darting here and there. On his left was a broken, deserted stretch of road, on his right, a high chain-link fence with barbed wire covering the top. It surrounded some old, abandoned factory. Agustin hadn’t been in town long enough to know what place it was. He wasn’t sure why he was in this part of town. Only that the mysterious guy promised him two hundred dollars to blow him if he showed up. Two hundred was a hell of a lot of money in Agustin’s world. He hadn’t eaten in three days, his ribs and collar bones poking out almost obscenely. Just having a decent meal and maybe a low cost motel bed to lay his head for a night had him hurrying even more. He was coming up on the overpass where the man had said to meet him. How the man knew Agustin preferred men, he wasn’t sure. Well, maybe it was because the dark haired guy had caught him getting fucked in an alley and saw the stranger hand Agustin twenty bucks when he was done.
Agustin slowed, gazing around to see if the man was here. He didn’t see anything but trash blowing in the wind and a few straggly trees swaying. He stopped and leaned against the cold concrete. Maybe he’d beaten the guy here. He didn’t want to consider the man was just yanking his chain and wasn’t going to show up. Agustin was too desperate for the money. His stomach growled in agreement. He pushed himself off the rough overpass and paced. Seemed like he’d been waiting forever, but it was probably only about thirty minutes. Disappointed and angry he was about to turn and leave when he was suddenly grabbed from behind, strong arms pinning his to his sides. He yelped in surprise and struggled, but there was no breaking the iron grip that surrounded him. He was too weak with hunger and despair to put up much of a fight anyway. He grew limp, his breath coming in gasps. “W..what do you want?” Agustin managed to stutter out. “You.” The voice was silky smooth and low and Agustin shivered.
Agustin felt the man’s arms move so that only one was holding him tight against a hard chest. Agustin tried to turn around but was held in place. The man’s hand came up and gripped Agustin’s head and tilted it. Agustin had no idea what the man planned, but started screaming when he felt the overwhelming pain of sharp teeth sinking into the side of his neck. Through the haze of agony, Agustin could feel the man sucking hard and the hot, wet trail of blood dripping down his chest and back. Agustin had heard, once, from another runaway that vampires existed. That was a long time ago and Agustin hadn’t believed the other boy. Vampires were a myth, a legend, a fantasy. Apparently not. Agustin felt his body growing weaker by the moment. This one was going to suck him dry. Agustin’s last thought before darkness took him was that he would have liked a last meal before dying.

  1. I could see this totally evolving to a story I would read. Even with the little blip of a story here I can think of several ways this could be a great story/short/novel.
